Your mission

Overview:

Can’t Wait to Learn provides an effective and cost-efficient solution to help close the education gap for millions of children around the world affected by conflict. It is a digital innovation programme providing children access to quality education, in both formal and non-formal education settings. It offers children the opportunity to (continue to) learn to read, and become numerate through a self-paced digital game, which is specifically created with the children to reflect their world and context. We work together with partner organisations and Ministries of Education to ensure that learning objectives are aligned to the national curricula wherever possible. Children’s progress is monitored and used for further improvements of the programme.

Can’t Wait to Learn is a digital, curriculum-based, context-specific learning application for education in emergency offering maths and reading curricula for primary grades 1, 2 and 3. Accessed on dedicated, preloaded, low-cost tablets and by application on personal iOS and Android devices played both on and offline. CWTL offers children a digital, self-guided education game adapted to context to support motivation and active self-paced learning. Children can access it at home, in the community or in school settings. It has been providing children in conflict-affected areas with a high standard of education since 2012. Maths and reading curricula are in line with national standards and endorsed by the Ministries of Education. The programme also offers training and support tools for teachers and facilitators in all implementation settings, and diagnostics for every learner to track learning progress.
