War Child is seeking a motivated Education Assistant who can fulfill the following Job description to join the organization.

Job Summary/ Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Education Officer in overseeing the daily operations and effective implementation of the project, ensuring alignment with the approved project design, budget framework, donor requirements, and compliance with War Child’s policies, procedures, and technical quality standards. The role will play a vital part in ensuring that the project meets its objectives efficiently and with high quality. 

Responsibilities and Tasks: 
 
General responsibilities:
  • Adhere to War child policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Strict adherence to the War child Code of Conduct.
  • Assist with the implementation of the education project according to the action plans.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper online/filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Ensure regular coordination and information sharing with TOs on project thematic areas.
  • Any other tasks as required by management.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Responsible for any activities, workshops and trainings logistical arrangements.
  • Provide support to the Education team on all purchase requisitions related to the Program.
  • Data collection, proper filing and accurate record keeping of all education implementation related information such as but not limited to; trainings, teachers, attendance, activities, beneficiaries, pictures, beneficiary feedback, M&E tools.
  • Occasionally travel to the field to education staff in activities for number of schools or TLSs.
  • Provide support to schools in project related field activities.
  • Support Education officer in planning and implementation of education projects and activities.
    Participate in team planning, regular meetings and M&E activities.
  • Support the team to ensure activities and trainings of school teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, etc. and any related awareness raising sessions based on the general approved plan.
  • Ensure reporting (weekly/monthly on area of responsibility) to Education officer.
 
Job Profile Requirements:
  • We are looking for a university graduate with a bachelor’s degree in education or any related field
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with an INGO or Educational agencies.
  • Good in English language, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet tight deadlines.
