Your mission
We are looking for an Evidence-Based Methodology (EBM) Officer to support the delivery, monitoring, and quality of War Child’s evidence-based mental health and psychosocial support programmes in Ukraine. Working closely with partners and under the guidance of EBM Trainers, the role supports high-quality implementation, learning, and supervision across interventions, helping ensure children and caregivers affected by war receive safe, effective, and impactful support. The EBM Officer plays a key role in strengthening programme quality, supporting partners, and contributing to meaningful evidence and learning that improves outcomes for children.
What you will do:
1. Program Implementation Support
- Support the implementation of evidence-based methodologies (e.g., ISMF, BeThere, Community Tales+, ReachNow, EASE, TeamUp, WeAct/EnAct) under senior guidance.
- Co-facilitate or independently facilitate intervention groups across different methodologies as assigned.
- Support the organization of Trainings of Facilitators (ToF) and Trainings of Trainers (ToT).
- Assist in preparation of implementation plans in coordination with partner organizations.
- Contribute to support groups and Communities of Practice for facilitators.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance
- Support overall monitoring of implementation across programs.
- Cross-check Means of Verification (MOVs) for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in tracking participant referrals and attendance records.
- Support data collection processes and documentation under the Quality of Care Framework.
- Contribute to lessons learned exercises and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with facilitators, participants, and stakeholders.
- Assist in basic data analysis and contribute to impact reporting in collaboration with the MEAL team and senior trainers
3. Supervision & Capacity Strengthening
- Participate in supervision meetings with partner organizations per methodology.
- Support preparation of supervision materials and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to mentoring support for facilitators.
- Assist in developing capacity-building materials and technical guidance tools.
- Support the implementation of the established supervision model.
4. Field Engagement
- Participate in field visits to project sites as assigned, subject to security considerations.
- Support coordination with local focal points and implementing partners.
- Document observations and recommendations from field monitoring visits.
5. Coordination & Representation
- Support preparation of presentations and technical briefs for internal and external stakeholder engagement, including program Steering Committees and cluster meetings.
- Contribute to technical documentation and presentation materials.
6. Technical & Organizational Support
- Assist with license agreements documentation and EBM review and update processes.
- Support participant profiling and stakeholder mapping and engagement activities.
- Contribute to development of partner monitoring guidelines.
- Support proposal development processes including context analysis review, workshop design support, and program design brainstorming.
7. Communications & Visibility
- Contribute to visibility efforts of War Child's MHPSS programming in Ukraine.
- Support documentation of success stories and learning highlights for internal and external audiences.
