Recruitment of facilitators to ensure the effective delivery of child protection interventions, including recreational activities and community based psychosocial support (PSS) sessions targeting both children and caregivers.

Overview:
We are looking for facilitators to ensure the effective delivery of child protection interventions, including recreational activities and community based psychosocial support (PSS) sessions targeting both children and caregivers. Through these structured activities, facilitators will create safe and supportive spaces that enable children and caregivers to express their emotions, share their experiences, and strengthen their coping mechanisms. This approach contributes to promoting psychosocial well being, enhancing resilience, and fostering positive interaction within families and the wider community.
 
Key Responsibilities:
1.           Planning and Implementation
•             Commit to attending all required pre-implementation workshops.
•             Implement PSS sessions for children and caregivers in a periodical manner, strictly following the provided curriculum and workshop guidelines, in line with the sector requirements.
•             Ensure all PSS activities are delivered in line with Global Minimum Standards, the National PSS Committee, and Child Protection Working Group (CPWG) standards.
•             Provide remote delivery of duties (phone-based or digital) if situational constraints require it.
•             Ensure all activities are conducted in an appropriate, safe, and accessible location that meets minimum protection standards.
•             Document all necessary feedback and provide regular monitoring reports including attendance, assessment when needed  and any other identifies MoV
•             Ensure that all participants are fully aware of the organization’s Feedback and Complaint and response Mechanism (FCRM).
2. Facilitation Responsibilities
•             Use high-level facilitation skills to ensure children and caregivers feel comfortable, enhancing their active participation and personal development.
•             Maintain a confidential and respectful environment where participants feel safe to voice opinions, thoughts, and emotions.
•             Ensure non-discriminatory participation that is age and gender-sensitive, ensuring no child or caregiver is exposed to harm or unnecessary stress during activities.
•             Respect and strictly abide by the organization’s Internal Code of Conduct and Child Protection/Safeguarding Policy.
3. Reporting and Referring
•             Identify and facilitate the Safe Referral of children and caregivers who require further specialized (MHPSS) or non-specialized services.
Your profile
Education and Experience
•             University Degree – Bachelor Degree
•             Education field: Social work, Education, Child development, Psychology, or other Social sciences
•             At least 2-years’ experience providing PSS or Focused PSS programs to children, preferably medium to high risk children.
 
Skills and Competencies
Very good knowledge of the region and its challenges.
Excellent knowledge of child protection, GBV and PSS principles.
Excellent knowledge of child development.
Language: Fluency in Arabic is required

Due to the emergency context and the need for immediate recruitment to meet operational needs of the emergency response, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
