Project Officer

Your mission
Project Implementation and Monitoring
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules.
  • Conduct regular field visits to oversee project activities and provide support to field staff.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of project activities.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Result: Projects are implemented efficiently, with timely and accurate monitoring and reporting.
Coordination and Communication
  • Coordinate with PQ team to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with project partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the Project Manager in liaising with donors and other external parties.
Result: Effective coordination and communication contribute to the smooth execution of project activities.
Financial and Administrative Support
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of project-related financial and administrative records.
  • Support the procurement process for project materials and services.
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly administrative and financial reports to the Project Manager.
Result: Financial and administrative tasks are managed effectively, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Your profile
Knowledge and Experience
  • Degree in Management, Finance, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an NGO.
  • Preferably, experience working with children, refugees, or vulnerable populations.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and cost-consciousness.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
What we offer
  • Location : This role is to be based in one of the following War Child country office: Lebanon. 
  • Applicants must be able to travel between Beirut and Tripoli Offices. 
  • War Child does not offer relocation.
  • Salary and benefits are in line with your residing country and contracting office, we offer local packages, local T&C's will apply.
